Resiliency for Providers
with the Director of the NOW Program Dr. Nicolas Gonzalez Castro
During Neuro-Oncology Resiliency meetings, we talk about the challenges of our daily lives as well as discuss strategies to face them more effectively.
The meetings are open to Dana-Farber Neuro-Oncology administrative staff, research personnel (CRCs, research RNs), NPs, PAs, attendings and fellows.
With burnout reaching historic levels among physicians (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.mayocp.2022.09.002), and likely among others in the healthcare sector, developing resiliency - the ability to successfully adapt to challenging life experiences - is paramount to be able to lead healthy, fulfilling lives and sustainably support our patients into the future.
The meetings will start with a 10-15min check-in exercise, to safely share what is on our minds, followed by a discussion of a specific topic to help develop resiliency.
